How to play
Each stage opens with up to five new signs. Flip each card to read what it means and what to do before you start the engine.
Steer under the right meaning, stop at the white line, slow down in the zone, wait for the train. A wrong call is a dent, and a card tells you why.
Signs you get wrong return later in the stage and in My weak signs, until you get each one right on three different days.

Each road is one group of signs. Hometown is regulatory signs: stop, yield, speed limits and turn rules. Country Roads is the yellow warning diamonds, from curves and hills to deer crossings. School District slows you down for school zones, crosswalks and school buses. Rail Country is railroad crossings, where the train always goes first. Work Zone is the orange temporary signs and flaggers. Interstate covers route shields and the blue service signs. Storm Coast hides the symbols in fog so you learn signs by shape and color alone, and Exam Road ends with a 20-gate License Exam.
The game never invents a question. Every gate is built from the same sign library as the road signs test, with the meaning and the action written once for each sign. Sign pictures are the public-domain MUTCD drawings, never recolored. This is practice, not an official test: your state's DMV handbook is the source for your exam.
Questions people ask
Is this harder than the real test?
The signs are the same; the clock is the game part. Turn on Relaxed mode and the road waits for your answer, so you can read at your own pace.
Does passing the License Exam mean I will pass my DMV test?
No. The game's pass mark (80%) is our own rule. Your state's test also covers traffic laws, and your DMV handbook is the official source.
Where is my progress saved?
In this browser only: stars, cars and records for the game, and the same sign progress the rest of the site uses. Clearing site data resets it.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Arrow keys or A and D change lanes, 1 2 3 jump to a lane, the down arrow or Space brakes (slows you down), Q and E look left and right at railroad crossings, F is full screen and P pauses.
